The Corkhouse, The Restoration of the Oldest Home in Halton Region

Wednesday, May 31, 2006

When the Cork House (originally built in 1816) was in need of some extensive paint work, Walls Alive Painting was able to provide the care needed to restore the oldest home in the Halton Region to it's original spendor and historical charm. Located proudlyat the corner of Neyagawa and Dundas St in Oakville and owned by the Jelinek Corporation, it is the showroom for an array of imported  natural and enviromentally friendly cork products, from flooring to furniture, gifts and products. Walls Alive Painting was glad to be on hand for the plaquing ceremony that took place in September of 2006, by the Oakville Historical Society Board.
